Society Research

GladiatorsWelcome to our research section. Research is fundemental to the group's success and is carried out by all of our members into both very broad and select subjects to be able to bring the best historically based entertainment we can to the public and our customers.

The research is divided into sections that best represent the organisation of the society. The details below are not the sum total of the research carried out by our members, but a cross section that will alter periodically. If you have any feedback or thoughts or even and area you might like researching we will do our best for you as time allows.

Please follow the links below to the individual research pages.

Deeds 150

Articles and research dealing primarily with the gladiators and the surrounding culture of the 1st and 2nd Centuries of the Roman Empire.

Deeds 1360

As the newest addition to the society the plan is for this section to grow considerably over the next few months.

Deeds Stage Combat

Representing a wide ranging environment for us, Stage Combat has seen us researching Napoleonic pike drills, Regency duels and Pirates. As that research is done we will seek to publish it here.

Trades and Crafts

A good number of our society make their own equipment, research old crafts or simply enjoy them as a hobby. This section will build into a cross section of some of these forgotten crafts.
